The Montefiore Headache Center is dedicated to excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of people with headache disorders, to advancing current knowledge of headache through research and to moving scientific advances into clinical practice. Our team is here to help. We are dedicated to creating the most effective plan to treat your headaches to help you live the best life possible. We work in collaboration with our patients to minimize their pain and optimize their ability to function using the full range of effective treatments.
For more than 60 years, the Montefiore Headache Center has been a leader in the field. The MHC was actually the first center in the world dedicated to diagnosing and treating headaches. The MHC also conducts groundbreaking research with innovative treatment methods across the spectrum of headache disorders. MHC offers the services of four Neurologists and a Clinical Health Psychologist who are devoted to headache research, diagnosis, and treatment.
At the Montefiore Headache Center, we are devoted to a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating patients with head and/or facial pain. Whether you experience a headache attack once a month or on a daily basis, we provide a thorough clinical assessment using a variety of diagnostic tests, if needed to create an individualized, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to treatment and management. We treat adolescents and adults who suffer from various forms of headache.

The one word that I would use to describe Montefiore Nurses is 'innovative.' They're constantly changing and constantly growing and Montefiore finds new ways to make things easier for the nurses. They embrace change and that is vital for us and the institution.
