Montefiore has been the University Hospital for The Albert Einstein College of Medicine and its primary teaching affiliate since 1963. Innovative resources such as our Carl Sagan Discovery Program create an environment that stimulates lifelong learning, with state-of-the-art video equipment and Internet access. The Children’s Hospital is the cornerstone of our commitment to future generation, and the hub of our unique family-centered Children's Hospital Network that serves a community of more than 400,000 children. Our Child Protection Center is a safe haven to help vulnerable abused children who cannot help themselves. Our School Health Programs, numbering twelve so far, reach deep into the community to serve children with no medical insurance who would otherwise not have access to healthcare services.
